Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

I have eaten at their location on University and enjoyed it so I thought I would give this one a shot. I had my fiance pick up the food for me so I did not see what the inside of the place looks like. I got a order of crab Rangoons and Mongolian Beef while my fiance got the combo fried rice. I got food for my buddy which was chicken lo mein. The food was all pretty descent, it is Chinese fast food so I didn't expect too much. The surprise of the night was the fried rice, it was very good! The price was not bad and it was pretty quick for them to get the food ready to go for takeout.

I asked my boyfriend to pick up some authentic beef chow fun (stir fried beef with rice noodles) at another chinese restaurant, but due to location, he decided to check out Tsing Tsao. He asked the guy working there if they had Beef Chow Fun on the menu, and the worker, who had no idea what my boyfriend was talking about, said, "you mean beef fried rice? Because chow means rice." Myself being Chinese- this is quite agitating. I must say that what he said is completely incorrect. The word "chow" in Chinese does not mean rice; rather, it describes the process of stir frying. While the worker was not Chinese (he was a Hispanic/Latino male), he should not have blatantly said that's what it meant, if he doesn't know even know what the word means. Anyway, aside from that, the food wasn't good. He ordered the sesame chicken entree. While it was inexpensive, in this case, you get what you pay for. Food that is lacking in many areas. The lunch comes with an entree, fried rice, an egg roll, a crab rangoon, and soup. We had the hot and sour soup, and I can tell you that it is neither hot/spicy, nor sour. It was bland, lacked the thickened consistency of hot and sour soup, and basically was plain chicken broth with egg and bits of scallions. It looked more like egg drop soup, and even if it was, it still tasted nothing like egg drop soup and still was very bland. The cream cheese in the crab rangoon was literally melting - the inside was all liquidy, not the thickened cream cheese filling you get, and the egg roll was filled with mainly cabbage. The fried rice looked like white rice mixed with egg and lacked any flavor. Surprisingly the sesame chicken wasn't bad (thus the one star); however, everything else was bland. I wouldn't recommend this place.

The food is good, but the staff are not friendly. I highly recommend Tsing Tsao East, however, I can't recommend the Southside Tsing Tsao. The staff is rude and always act like you're a complete inconvenience. I've been treated rudely even when there was only one other customer in the restaurant. Not only are they rude, they talk as if no one else is in the restaurant. One of the few times I chose the southside Tsing Tsao, the red-burgundy haired female employee was talking with one of the busboys. She was awkwardly telling him that his friend was "sexy young thing, yes?" Hashtag: AWKWARD! There is a pair of employees who bitch about customers in Spanish, calling them "needy" and stupid. So unprofessional. This location is a lot closer to me than the eastside location, but I always order and drive to the eastside location because the staff are completely friendly and don't make me feel like an inconvenience. It's unfortunate as Tsing Tsao on Fleur Dr has a much nicer and roomier dining room. Please take my advice, avoid this location at all cost.

I can't tell you how many times I've been to Tsing Tsao, but it's definitely in the dozens. Lunch meals come with your entree, Egg Roll and Crab Rangoon, choice of Egg Drop or Sweet & Sour Soup, and rice. Dinner meals come with all of the above, minus the soup. The entrees are always very hot and fresh tasting. I'm not a big fan of their egg rolls. They are mainly cabbage with a bit of minced meat. The crab rangoons that come with the meals are also disappointing. There's not much filling inside. However, if you order them off the appetizer section they are much better. Lots of filling. I love the potstickers. Sometimes I'll just order potstickers and soup for a meal. It's located in a strip mall and the atmosphere is very casual. You order at the counter and someone brings your food to the table. Good choice for a cheap meal when you're in a hurry.

The other locations are great. This location should have a completely different name, as they use completely different recipes and they are often times rude, while the other locations are very personable.

Disappointing potstickers. The skin is store-bought and the filling is blah. Plus, the skin did not completely seal all the way around. The main course of kung pao shrimp was tasteless, very bland. Do not recommend.

I ordered carry-out in store and the wait time was pleasantly short. The food was okay. I wish the crab rangoon had been crispier and I feel that the portion size (half order) of my entree was surprisingly overpriced. Yet it is close to home and I will likely stop by again.
